New Wednesday holiday tradition, going live on IG & Tiktok to help you with holiday cocktail-ing! If you join the Cocktail Club broadcast channel here on Instagram you can vote on the cocktails made each week. This week, we decided on the gin fizz - a favorite of mine! I showed you three recipes: The Festive Simple Syrup, the Single Serve Gin Fizz, & the Batched version! So, here are the written recipes from last night’s live. Hope to see you there next week!
First, let’s queue the vibes
Festive Syrup:
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
3-4 Sprigs of fresh rosemary, or herb of choice!
Zest from 1 orange, or grapefruit
Add to a pot and place on medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Once dissolved, place on a simmer for about 10 minutes.
Then, let cool completely before straining and adding a splash of vanilla extract.
Mix together and store in a sealable bottle for 2-4 weeks in the fridge!
Here is the single-serve (arm workout) gin fizz recipe:
Here’s how to make it:
To a shaker add
1 egg white
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz lime juice
3/4 oz festive syrup (tune in tmw for the recipe)
1/2 oz heavy cream
1 bar spoon Greek yogurt, for tangyness but optional
Dry shake!
Add a large cube and shake until that cube is gone 😳🥲
Pour into a tall collins glass.
Top with soda water
Garnish with a powdered sugar dusting on top!
Snow Globe Gin Fizz, for a crowd
serves approx 4
to a blender add
3 egg whites
1 oz lime juice
1.5 oz lemon juice
2 oz heavy cream
1 tbsp greek yogurt
1.5 oz festive syrup
Add about 1/2 cup crushed ice.
Blend until smooth!
Pour equally into 4 glasses and top with soda water.
Garnish with a powdered sugar dusting on top!
As I mentioned, here’s the family photo of the recipe I have for the classic gin fizz… the measurements are funny to say the least
