Also, hi I’m Jules!
If you’re just now joining jules, I want to take a moment to reintroduce myself! I’m Julianna McIntosh, the creator of Join Jules Cocktails. Started back in 2020, and a budding interest in craft cocktails, I started sharing my own personal home bartending journey… making MANY many mistakes along the way (trust me ice does not belong in your coupes and yes, cobbler shakers are the worst). Now, almost four years later and over 1,000 cocktails later, I’ve grown a fun drink-loving community focused on building a better happy hour at home. I’m completely self-taught and just a girly trying to make waves in this male-dominated industry. So you aren’t intimidated to be an at-home cocktail connoisseur, know exactly what to order at the bar, and you can throw the most perfect happy hour… no matter where you are.

Well, let’s get into it
Welcome to our first Sipper Club meeting!
But first… drinks!
Super Bowl is coming up this Sunday and Valentine’s Day is right behind it. So here are two recipes I wanted to share with YOU right here, right now.
Let’s start with Super Bowl
Yes, you could go with a traditional Aperol Spritz punch, which is so easy: 3 cups prosecco, 2 cups aperol, and 1 cup club soda
And of course, you can bring over a 6-pack of Spaghett’s
But let’s have a little more fun shall we, Let’s make a Freezer-Door (strawberry) Spicy Margarita
Grab your favorite bottle of tequila or mezcal & pour out 13 oz (reserve for later use)
Add in 5 oz of fresh lime juice, 5 oz Cointreau, 2 or 2.5 oz strawberry syrup (depending on sweetness), and 1/2 jalapeno sliced or diced (the more seeds, the spicier it will be!)
Place in the fridge until you’re ready to pour over ice!
Okay now Valentine’s Day sip, for two
Maybe it’s just me but I’ve been CRUSHING the 20th-century cocktail so I thought we could make it pink and make it for two to enjoy this Valentine’s day (cause you can bet your a** I’ll be drinking these come Feb 14th.
In a mixing glass add 1 cup of lillet blanc and 1 cup fresh cut strawberries, let infused for 24-48 hours, strain, and store in the fridge.
To make your 20th Century Valentine, in a cocktail shaker add
3 oz Gin, try Hendrick’s Flora Adora for a delicious floral flavor, 1 oz strawberry infused lillet blanc, 1 oz white creme de cacao, and 1.5 oz fresh squeezed pink lemons (they are a thing), and add ice and shake.
Double strain into two chilled coupe glasses, garnish with a fresh strawberry cut in two to look like a heart speared on a cocktail pick, and enjoy!
What’s in season?
As we head Into February some great produce items are coming into season that are PERFECT for cocktails. Most notable:
Citrus; keep using those grapefruits, meyer lemons, blood oranges, and other citrus while you can.
the best tip is to fresh squeeze your citrus while it’s in season, carefully pour into reusable small ziplock bags, lay them flat and place in your freezer. that way you can pull them out throughout the year, let them thaw and use all those citrus flavors.
Be on the look out for items like strawberries and rhubarb as we ease into the month of March!
