The Devil’s Margarita
1.5 oz tequila
1 oz lime juice
3/4 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Chile liqueur
1/2 oz Spicy Syrup*
Red wine float
Ice
Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and syrup in a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake.
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Top with a red wine float.
Garnish & enjoy!
The Clarified Devil’s Margarita
1.5 oz Mezcal
3/4 oz Cointreau
1/2 oz Chile liqueur
I oz lime juice
1/2 oz Spicy syrup
Mix & add to I oz whole milk Let sit for at least one hour
Double strain using a fine mesh and cheesecloth (or paper towel)
Once clear & ready to serve - mix with ice to dilute and strain into a coupe glass.
Top with red wine & pepper devil horns!
Spicy Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2-3 slices pepper of choice
In a medium saucepot add water, sugar, and peppers.
Place on medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Once dissolved, let cool completely then strain & store normally!
Another spicy hack:
Equal parts Agave Nectar + Water on medium heat with fresh spicy pepper slices.
Stir together to create a syrup-like consistency.
Let cool & infused before straining!
