When I pictured the ultimate send-off into married life, I knew it had to involve great food, unforgettable cocktails, and a city with enough soul to match the occasion. Enter: New Orleans. The perfect blend of rowdy, romantic, and delicious.

Here’s how it all went down:

Thursday — A Toast to the Weekend

We kicked things off with drinks at the spooky and chic Hotel Saint Vincent, which honestly set the tone for the entire weekend. After catching up over cocktails and snapping a few photos under the velvet lights, we ubered over to N7—a French-Japanese hidden gem tucked behind a red wooden gate. The vibe? Parisian courtyard meets sultry garden party.

Friday — Love is brewing

We started slow with a coffee stroll (because hydration + caffeine = essential) and we made our first stop to Ayu Bakery, a MUST if you ask me. A quick pit stop for tarrot reading a Bottom of the Cup, so fun and unique! A quick pit-stop at Erin Rose gave us frozen Irish Coffees (with a float of chartreuse) that deserve their own love letter. Before heading back to get ready for dinner, we found ourselves caught in a rainstorm… and in a wine bar (can you believe it)? Now, Patron Saint & a slice of pizza - yes please! Now, our dinner plans were originally at Sylvain, and while we had hoped to make it to Arnaud’s for a proper French 75, time got the best of us. Instead, we ended with a late-night jazz wander down Frenchman’s. Think live brass, second lines, and lots of dancing in the street.

Saturday — The Big Day Out

This was the bachelorette's main event. We brunched at The Country Club, which means drag performances, jello shots, and more glitter than a disco ball. A fully “spritzed-out” pool party followed back at our Dear Valentine house and many spritzs and spaghets were enjoyed! We had dinner at Cane & Table, which felt like a tropical fever dream in the best way, and capped the night with a spooky/fun cemetery tour. Then things got a bit… crazy. One word… Marlot at Black Penny. Then we let the night carry us to Jewel of the South for drinks, musta had a crusta!

Sunday — See You Later, NOLA

We had plans for Atchafalaya Jazz Brunch, but after a weekend full of laughs, cocktails, and very little sleep—we swapped it for a light lunch at Hotel Saint Vincent, coffee, and some much-needed packing time before heading to the airport for a little wine & fly.
The plans? Made by my sister and my best friend. Truly, a dream come true!
